Pieces by Cari, LLC, is a New York City based private custom jewelry boutique headed by Cari Goldman, GIA Graduate Gemologist and Accredited Jewelry Professional. Pieces fills a unique niche for the discerning consumer of diamonds, colored stones and fine custom jewelry. Cari’s goal is to protect clients from unscrupulous diamond and stone dealers that charge unwarranted premiums for what they offer. As a consumer advocate, she educates her clients so that they can make intelligent, informed choices, and together access the best stones and values within their budget. Cari’s background, contacts, and education are all aimed at one goal: making certain that her customers receive full disclosure about what they are purchasing, that they receive excellent value, and, most importantly, that their purchase provides lasting beauty and pleasure.
Cari’s educational background includes a degree in public policy from Duke University and a Graduate Gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Her additional degrees from GIA include Graduate Diamonds, Graduate Colored Stones, Graduate Pearls, AJP (Accredited Jewelry Professional) and various certificates related to CAD/CAM, and continuing education programs. She is an authorized GIA diamond reseller and is designated as a preferred professional appraiser through Gemworld International. She is also a member of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee.
Her company, “Pieces by Cari”, is situated in the heart of Manhattan in Union Square. It is there that she creates beautiful custom pieces for her clientele and where she selects the authentic colored stones and certified diamonds for those pieces. Cari is known across the industry for her skills and creativity as well as her open and honest approach. She has developed relationships with miners and dealers throughout the world, and stays abreast of the latest trends and news in the colored stone and diamond world. Her pieces have been featured in key trade journals and magazines including, among others, Instyle Magazine, O magazine, Travel and Leisure, Lucky magazine, Marie Claire, Shape magazine, Cosmopolitan, Vellum, Town & Country, and the Sunday style section of the New York Times.
